Sunday's Message, April 4, 2021 - What is God trying to raise up in our lives but we want something different?; Fulfilling our Calling/Purpose

 Greetings Believers,  

Resurrection Sunday's message reminds us that their is a purpose for our lives and to pursue it with a lifestyle of worshipping God through fasting, praying, and sharing the Gospel.

• we were created to fulfill a purpose

• these gifts to the body were to strengthen and encourage us to fulfill our calling and unite us in spiritual maturity in Christ
• Acts 13
• vs. 2 - Paul and Barnabas lived a lifestyle of worshipping as priest unto the Lord, fasting and praying before being sent out to fulfill their purpose by Holy Spirit
• vs. 4-12 - as they are sharing the Gospel, they encounter a sorcerer, preventing them from sharing the Gospel with the governor.  The sorcerer was rendered blind and the governor witnessed and believed the message.
• vs. 5-41 - Paul encourages the church by reminding them of their history.  God raised up deliverers, prophets, pursuers of God and finally a Savior - the Good News
• vs. 21 - the people wanted a king which was not God's plan, nevertheless, He gave them what they wanted
• vs. 42-52 - Paul and Barnabas continue to preach with boldness despite opposition to the Gospel

• In the midst of or despite distractions, challenges or opposition we, the body of believers, should always be in a position to share toe Gospel, strengthen and encourage one another
