Sunday's Message, April 4, 2021 - What is God trying to raise up in our lives but we want something different?; Fulfilling our Calling/Purpose

Resurrection Sunday's message reminds us that their is a purpose for our lives and to pursue it with a lifestyle of worshipping God through fasting, praying, and sharing the Gospel.

- these gifts to the body were to strengthen and encourage us to fulfill our calling and unite us in spiritual maturity in Christ

- vs. 2 - Paul and Barnabas lived a lifestyle of worshipping as priest unto the Lord, fasting and praying before being sent out to fulfill their purpose by Holy Spirit
- vs. 4-12 - as they are sharing the Gospel, they encounter a sorcerer, preventing them from sharing the Gospel with the governor. The sorcerer was rendered blind and the governor witnessed and believed the message.
- vs. 5-41 - Paul encourages the church by reminding them of their history. God raised up deliverers, prophets, pursuers of God and finally a Savior - the Good News
- vs. 21 - the people wanted a king which was not God's plan, nevertheless, He gave them what they wanted
