Tuesday's Bible Study, November 30, 2021 - Winnowing Fork/Fan

 Hello Family of God,

Tonight's message was a divine introduction on the topic of God coming close and how He does it.  We looked at the purpose of the winnowing fork both naturally and spiritually.  Hopefully there will be more lessons unfolding on this topic in the near future.  Until then, Holy Spirit (our great teacher) is ready to meet us and take us on a journey of understanding, if we would not fight!

• Matthew 3:12 -
• "He comes with a winnowing fork in his hands and comes to his threshing floor to sift what is worthless from what is pure.  And he is ready to sweep out his threshing floor and gather his wheat into his granary, but the straw he will burn up with a fire that can't be extinguished." (The Passion Translation - TPT)
• God is the One with the winnowing fork in his hands
• He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat

• Luke 3:17-
• "He has in his hands a winnowing fork to clean up his threshing floor!  He will separate the wheat from the chaff.  The wheat he will gather into his barn, but he will burn the chaff in a fire that no one can ever put out!"  ( TPT)
• The winnowing fork is in His hands
• He is ready to do the separating

• Acts 1:4-5,
• "Jesus instructed them, "Don't leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised.  For John baptized you in water, but in a few days from now you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit." (TPT)
• Holy Spirit is the promised gift and He is HOLY!

• 1 John 2:27-
• "But the wonderful anointing you have received from God is so much greater than their deception and now lives in you.  There's no need for anyone to keep teaching you.  His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into truth, not a counterfeit.  So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in him." (TPT)
• Holy Spirit is the anointing that lives inside of us, teaching and leading us into truth
• Holy Spirit brings revelation of the scriptures to us all

• Definition of winnowing fork/fan -
•  A hand device used by the farmer to throw the mix from his shredded pile of grain and straw into the air to let the wind carry the straw and chaff away and the grain fall back for collection
