Message September 8, 2020 - Love Acts

 Hello Prophetic, Praying, Company of Believers,

Bible Study this week was led by Sis. Kim.  The encouragement this week was to walk in love, continue to encourage and support one another as you have been doing as we guard our hearts.  Check out the scriptures to see what we should be on the guard against as we walk in brotherly love.

Encounter with Holy Spirit

About 3 weeks ago the lord spoke to me about guarding my heart.  he said the samething to me around this same time last year.  I asked guard my heart against what?  The word came to me "against offense".

Being offended...

1. Against things I don't understand
2. Against one another
3. Against Jesus (Matt. 11:6) 

 

Nuggets for the Week

• The 3 characteristics of faith,hope and love also show up in 1 Cor 13:13 Msg, with the greatest being love
• Love is a Person that demonstrated love. He spoke the world into existence.  He gave His son as a ransom for the world.
• Guard against apathy - lack of interest, enthusiasm or concern
• Guard against an offended heart

Reflections

• I am designed to walk in love so that the world will believe that Christ has come

 Key Takeaway for the Body

• The world will know us by our love for one another and believers walking in unity
• Unity and love won't happen in the place of offended hearts
