• Focus: Romans 13:11-12, John 9:4
• Definition of wake - to rouse from sleep, to cease sleeping or stop sleeping, to become active again, to becom sonscious or aware of something, alert, to make active, aware, fully conscious
• The world uses the phrase "woke" which means being conscious of racial discrimination in society and other forms of oppression and injustice.  In mainstream use, work can also more generally describe someone or something as being "with it".  If they have a phrase and are championing society to be "woke" or "with it",  how much more should that same call go out to us, the Body of Christ.

1. vs. 13 - putting on righteousness, stop giving in or choosing darkness by being argumentative or jealous of others
2. vs. 14 - living fully in Christ Jesus, fully committed
3. Romans 14:13 - stop being critical of one another
4. vs. 17-19, walking/living in the Kingdom realities (righteousness, peace and joy)
5. vs. 21 - walking in love and not causing offense
6. Romans 15:1-3, walk in unity
7. Romans 5:3-5, endure all things

• Awake is a verb which means it is an action word, but it is also an adjective which means it describes something
• Awake people have knowledge of something
• Aware people are vigilent in observing or alert in drawing inferences from what one experiences
• Cognizant people have special or certain knowledge as from firsthand sources
• Conscious people are ones that focus their attention on something or is even preoccupied by it
• Sensible people are direct or intuitive in perceiving especially of intangibles or of emotional states or equalities
• Alive people are acutely sensitive to something
• Awake implies that one has become alive to something and is on the alert
• Paul was faithful to his calling from beginning to end.  He was found doing in Romans 15:25 what he started out doing in Acts 13:2-5, sharing the gospel and encouraging God's people
• Let's awake our souls to Jesus in prayer, praise, and a life of worship
