Bible Study's Message, January 12, 2021 - Make the Most of the Opportunities We Have to Gloryify Jesus!

Tuesday's message had us ask Holy Spirit to examine our hearts to enable us to become aware of the daily opportunities to reveal the glory of Jesus through our actions.

• Jesus came to reveal God and to bring glory to Father God's name

• the beggar was persistent in his pursuit of Jesus
• After receiving his sight, the beggar praised God and followed Jesus

• the people had a misunderstanding of the Kingdom of God and therefore missed the opportunity to engage in the Kingdom of God correctly through the person of Jesus
• the servant missed the opportunity to fulfill his master's desire despite knowing the character of his master and how he would react

 Nuggets for the Week

• Eternal life is defined as knowing and experiencing God as the only true God and experience Jesus as the one God sent (John 17:3) 
• Rightly discerning Jesus' character can help us make right choices that reflect His character and cause others to see His glory correctly

Reflections

• Ask Holy Spirit to reveal and clear up any misconceptions we have about Jesus, His Kingdom, what He is doing in this hour and not be surprised or shaken at what He reveals.  God doesn't condemn us (Romans 8:1)
• Give Holy Spirit free reign to align those places in our hearts to the Truth of what the scripture says about them.
• Ask Holy Spirit to open our eyes to any opportunities we have to glorify Jesus.
• Ask God to give us a deeper understanding of who He is and cause others to see His beauty in us as we go about our day.
