Message 8/30/2020 - Give God Acceptable Service

We had another awesome time in the Lord with a powerful word spoken by our spiritual mother in the gospel, Pastor Azuka Gbogboade, who challenged us to "Give God Acceptable Service".  Study below to see how God defines what is acceptable in His eyes!

• Only the Holy Spirit can lead us

• We must not let anyone be stagnant
• Adversity = one who is closed in with pressure (Pressure before the Promise), a narrow, tight place; in anguish or pressed or squeezed on every side; to release oil (joy or bitterness)

• How much labor are you putting into the work of the Lord?
• How do we know if ouur ervice is acceptable?
1. Render to the Lord agreeable service, in agreement with God (Amos 3:3)
2. Done by faith (Hebrews 11:5-6)
3. Sacrificial giving to the brethren (Philippians 4:18)
4. Obedience to parents both natural and spiritual (Colossians 3:20)
5. Wise heart and speak right things (Proverbs 23:15-16)

 Key Takeaway for the Body

• God is expecting us to serve in holiness and righteousness
• God is expecting us to serve sacrificially and kindhearted, serving God and not man despite the challenges
• Don't be moved by the things we see.  The Holy Spirit will give us joy for the joy of the Lord is our strength
• The church of Jesus Christ is entering into maturity
• The strength and grace of God is with us
• God wants us to serve Him acceptably and wholeheartedly
• Ask God for grace to serve with Godly fear
• Blessings of Acceptable Service
